[ PROCLAMATION NO. 17, August 17, 2010 ]
DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBAY
WHEREAS , Thursday, September 2, 2010 , marks the 145th birth anniversary of the late General Simeon A. Ola, the last revolutionary general to surrender at the end of the Philippine-American War;
WHEREAS , in order to give the people of the Province of Albay, the opportunity to celebrate the occasion, it is but fitting and proper to declare September 2, 2010 as special (non-working) day.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Thursday, September 2, 2010 as special (non-working) day in the Province of Albay.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
