BANNING TO ENTER ANY PORT IN NIGERIA TO ENSURE THEIR SAFETY AND SECURITY

Pursuant to the memorandum issued by the Secretary of Labor and Employment reiterating the total ban on the deployment of all workers to Nigeria, it is hereby clarified that the ban covers Filipino crew on board ships entering Nigerian ports.

All manning agencies are advised to inform their principals that Filipino seafarers are not allowed to enter any port in Nigeria to ensure their safety and security. The ban remains until further notice.
