[ BOC MEMORANDUM, April 02, 2003 ]

REEFER SHIPMENTS OF ORGANIC PEROXIDE

Reefer shipments of Organic Peroxide, which requires very cool temperature because of product sensitivity, shall be exempt from examination/inspection, unless these are:

1. selected for examination/inspection under the Selectivity scheme; or

2. subject of an Alert Order.

If an examination/inspection shall be required on such shipments as above provided, the same shall be conducted in a controlled place or within the concerned importer's premises, and with such other precautionary measures to prevent damage to/destruction of the shipments.

To avoid unnecessary delay, please make the necessary arrangements with that Company and require the same to submit in advance a list of its reefer importations to the Deputy Commissioner, IEG, and the concerned District Collector.

Adopted: 02 April 2003

(SGD.) ANTONIO M. BERNARDO Commissioner
