ENACTMENT OF RA 7400 AND CHANGES IN THE COMMUNICATION FORMS OF PDIC

Please be informed that RA 7400 (An Act Further Amending RA 3591, as amended) took effect on 12 June 1992. To update you on the implementing rules and regulations, we are going to issue Regulatory Issuances and Bulletins , which we define as follows:

Regulatory Issuances — prescribe policies, norms of conduct, or modes of standards of operations, or functions and transactions of institutions which are subject to PDIC authority, supervision and/or regulation.

Bulletins — communication containing matters such as clarification, explanation, or interpretation of previously issued Regulatory Issuances, notices, announcements, reminders, etc., which does not partake of the nature of a rule or regulation.

Please be guided accordingly.
