SUSPENSION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 4-DIGIT EXCHANGE CODES FOR AREA CODE "02"

Based on the position paper submitted by the GMM LEC Technical Committee created 11 December 2001, in the interest of public service, the Commission hereby suspends the implementation of Memorandum Circular No. 9-10-2001, until further notice.

In furtherance thereof, PTEs are directed to form a technical committee to continue the study of COCs and number blocks utilization to address the need to implement the 4-digit exchange codes and to recommend necessary measures to optimize the utilization of COCs. The committee shall submit a yearly report and recommendation or sooner as may be necessary.

This Circular takes effect fifteen (15) days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation and three (3) certified true copies furnished the UP Law Center.
