[ PROCLAMATION NO. 541, October 28, 1958 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1958, AS SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY

WHEREAS, paying homage to the dead on All Saints’ Day is one of our cherished traditions; and

WHEREAS, in keeping with that tradition, the people should be given full opportunity to observe the day with all its religious fervor;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Saturday, November 1, 1958, as a special public holiday.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
