AMENDING PPA ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 05-1995: REGULATIONS ON DOMESTIC ROLL-ON/ROLL-OFF (RO-RO) TRANSPORT OPERATIONS AND RATES, CHARGES AND RELATED MATTERS

In view of the implementation of Executive Order Nos. 170 & 170-A, which provides for the establishment of a nation-wide Road Roll-On/Roll-Off (RO-RO) Transport System , and in relation to the Strong Republic Nautical Highway (SRNH) Project, the following guidelines are hereby prescribed for the guidance of and compliance by all concerned:

1. The tariff rates and vehicle descriptions stipulated under paragraph 8.1 (RO-RO Self-Propelled), Section 8 (Handling Fees) of PPA Administrative Order No. 05-1995, is hereby replaced by the Terminal Fee. The vehicle descriptions and the tariff rates for the Terminal Fee shall be those contained in PPA Memorandum Circular No. 17-2003, dated 16 July 2003.

2. PPA Administrative Order No.02-1999, dated 05 March 1999, is hereby repealed in its entirety as it is deemed contrary to the objectives of Executive Order Nos. 170 & 170-A, as well as with the Strong Republic Nautical Highway. This paves the way for the full implementation of the transitory provisions under Section 10 of PPA Administrative Order No. 05-1995.

All other PPA regulations and issuances inconsistent with this Administrative Order is hereby deemed modified or repealed accordingly.

This Administrative Order shall take effect fifteen (15) days after publication in (2) newspapers of general circulation.
