CODING OF CLAIMS FOR SEVERE ACUTE RESPIRATORY SYNDROME (SARS) PACKAGE AND AVIAN INFLUENZA (BIRD FLU) PACKAGE

In order to simplify reporting, storage and retrieval of information relating to reimbursements of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) Package and Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) Package , claims for these benefits shall be assigned the following codes in the Relative Value Scale:

This Circular shall take effect for all claims with admission dates starting July 1, 2009. All other provisions of previous issuances on SARS Package and Bird Flu Package remain in full force and effect.
