DECLARING MONDAY, 11 MAY 2020, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN

WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections will conduct a plebiscite on 11 May 2020, Monday, in the Province of Palawan, for the ratification of Republic Act No. 11259 dated 05 April 2019, otherwise known as the "Charter of the Provinces of Palawan del Norte, Palawan Oriental, and Palawan del Sur"; and

WHEREAS, in order to give the people of the Palawan the opportunity to actively and fully participate in the plebiscite and to exercise their right to vote, it is but fitting and proper to declare 11 May 2020 a special (non-working) day;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Monday, 11 May 2020, a special (non-working) day in the Province of Palawan,

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
