[ PROCLAMATION NO. 17, March 24, 1962 ]

EXTENDING THE FIFTEENTH ANNUAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL RED CROSS

WHEREAS, the period from February 14 to March 31, 1962, was set aside for the fifteenth annual fund campaign of the Philippine National Red Cross under Proclamation No. 4, dated January 12, 1962; and

WHEREAS, the campaign has been affected adversely by the failure of crops caused by the several recent floods, typhoons, and other major calamities in many areas;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the fifteenth annual fund campaign of the Philippine National Red Crass up to April 30, 1962.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 24th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the sixteenth.
