REDUCTION OF FREE STORAGE PERIOD FOR IMPORT AND EXPORT CARGOES

In order to further achieve the objectives of efficiency, safety and economy in port operations, and to avoid using the ports as alternative storage areas, the PPA Board of Directors, in its meeting held on December 10, 1998, approved PPA Management's recommendation to shorten the existing free storage period for imported and export cargoes in the 1994 PPA Port Charges, as follows:

Imported Cargoes 6 calendar days 5 calendar days

Export Cargoes 5 calendar days 4 calendar days

This circular shall take effect on January 15, 1999 after its publication in at least two newspapers of general circulation.
