[ PROCLAMATION NO. 80, February 11, 1963 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 11 TO MARCH 17, 1963, AS ACCOUNTANCY WEEK

Whereas, certified public accountants, by reason of the vantage position they occupy in the field of business, finance and industry, have contributed immensely to the progress of the national economy; and

Whereas, it is desirable that the important role played by certified public accountants in the development of the national economy be brought to the attention of the people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from March 11 to March 17, 1963, as Accountancy Week, and designate the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants to take charge of its celebration.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 11th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty three.
