INCREASING THE SERVICE FEE FOR TRAFFIC OPERATIONS CENTER CLEARANCE AND AMENDING FOR THIS PURPOSE SECTION 1 OF MMC ORDINANCE NO. 1, SERIES OF 1989 ENTITLED "FIXING THE SERVICE FEE FOR TRAFFIC OPERATIONS CENTER CLEARANCE"

WHEREAS, the Metro Manila Commission (now Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) enacted in April 27, 1989 MMC Ordinance No. 1, s. 1989 that fixes the service fee of ten (P10.00) pesos for the issuance of the MMDA Traffic Operations Center's clearance being required by the Land Transportation Office to motorists in the renewal of their driver's licenses and for other purposes;

WHEREAS, the Metro Manila Council deems it necessary and proper to increase said fee in order to meet the increasing administrative cost and other expenses involved in the issuance of said clearance, maintain efficiency in office operation; and provide better services to drivers seeking clearances.

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 6 of RA 7924, this Amendatory Regulation is hereby promulgated and adopted by the Metro Manila Council, that:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of MMC Ordinance No. 1, s. 1989 shall read:

"Section 1. The service fee for the issuance of MMDA Traffic Operations Center's clearance is hereby increased from TEN [P10.00] PESOS to THIRTY [P30.00] PESOS." SECTION 2. This Regulation amends accordingly MMC Ordinance No. 1, s. 1989 and any other issuance inconsistent herewith.

SECTION 3. This Regulation shall take effect fifteen (15) days after publication in two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
