DECLARING JUNE 19, 2004, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF CALAMBA AND PROVINCE OF LAGUNA

WHEREAS , June 19, 2004 marks the 143nd birth anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, our national hero;

WHEREAS , It is fitting and proper that the residents of the City of Calamba, his birthplace, and the Province of Laguna, should be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies in keeping with his ideals and teachings.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALBERTO G. ROMULO , Executive Secretary, by order of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO , do hereby declare June 19, 2004, as special (non-working) day in the City of Calamba and Province of Laguna.

IN WITHNESS WHEREOF , I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 27th day of May in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Four.
