PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1245, November 22, 1977

[ PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1245, November 22, 1977 ]

TRANSFERRING AND CONVEYING CABAN AND SOMBRERO ISLANDS, BATANGAS PROVINCE, TO THE PHILIPPINE TOURISM AUTHORITY FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES.

By virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, hereby transfer and cede to the Philippine Tourism Authority for tourism development the Islands of Caban and Sombrero located in Batangas consisting of 55 hectares and 3 hectares, respectively.

All laws, proclamations, executive orders or decrees inconsistent herewith are hereby revoked or amended accordingly.

The Philippine Tourism Authority may not alienate the said islands or any portion thereof without the prior approval of the President of the Philippines, although it may encumber the same to any government financing institution for tourism development purposes.

This Decree shall take effect immediately.

Done in the City of Manila, this 22nd day of November in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-seven.
