ACCEPTANCE OF OLD CENTRAL BANK COINS FOR REPLACEMENT/ EXCHANGE PURSUANT TO BSP CIRCULAR NO. 81, S. 1995

Further to our Circular-Letter dated January 7, 1997 on above-captioned subject, enjoying all banks to accept the 'old coins in any amount that may be tendered to them by the public for the purpose of exchange/replacement with the new BSP coins or banknotes up to January 2, 1998.' you are hereby advised to desist from releasing/reissuing or recirculating to the public such old CB coins accepted for exchange/deposit to ensure the expeditious withdrawal from circulation of the demonetized coins.
