REVISED PHILIPPINE STANDARD COMMODITY CLASSIFICATION CODE TO BE REQUIRED IN APPLICATIONS FOR IMPORT ADVICE NOTES (IAN)

1. Monetary Board Resolution No. 926 dated October 27, 1989 approved effective 1 January 1990 the implementation by the Central Bank, of the 1989 Revised Philippine Standard Commodity Classification Manual. 2. In line with the above implementation, the Central Bank issued MAAB No. 2 dated 12 February 1990 providing the revised list of items contained in Circulars 1181 and 1208, the importation of which is subject to SGS pre-shipment inspection regardless of value.

3. In compliance with the foregoing issuances, please be advised that effective 1 April 1990, all applications for Import Advice Notes ( IANs) shall be required to reflect the revised PSCC Code*. For your guidance, attached is a summary of the revised PSCC Codes for raw materials generally by garment exporters.

Please be guided accordingly.
