[ PROCLAMATION NO. 145, August 02, 1963 ]

DECLARING THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, 1963, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JUAN, PROVINCE OF RIZAL

WHEREAS, the 67th anniversary of the battle of Pinaglabanan, an important event in our struggle for freedom, falls on August 29, 1963;

WHEREAS, said historical event is of special significance to the residents of the municipality of San Juan, province of Rizal, where it took place; and

WHEREAS, the people of said municipality desire to celebrate the occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Thursday, August 29, 1963, as a special public holiday in the municipality of San Juan, province of Rizal.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 2nd day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
