DECLARING FRIDAY, 13 SEPTEMBER 2024, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION

WHEREAS, on 13 September 1986, former President Corazon C. Aquino met with the representatives of the Cordillera Bodong Administration and the Cordillera People's Liberation Army to signify the Sipat (cessation of hostilities) and to acknowledge their aspirations for Cordillera autonomy;

WHEREAS, on 13 September 2024, Friday, the Cordillera Administrative Region will commemorate the 38 th Sipat Anniversary ;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Cordillera Administrative Region be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R, MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Friday, 13 September 2024, a special (non-working) day in the Cordillera Administration Region.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
