REQUIREMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF FISHING VESSELS THROUGH LOCAL CONSTRUCTION

Notice is hereby given to all concerned that a clearance from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) indicating that the vessel/owner is qualified for issuance of a new Commercial Fishing Boat License (CFBL), shall be submitted to the Shipyard Regulation Service or the Maritime Regional Office (MRO) in addition to the documentary requirements for the acquisition of fishing vessels through local construction.

Further, all fishing vessels must have all the certificates and licenses required by MARINA and BFAR prior to operation.
