CLOSURE OF NIA VILLAGE-MINDANAO AVENUE, PUJ ROUTE

Pursuant to the memo of Usec. Willie Evangelista, DOTC dated 18 September 1998, the subject passenger jeepney route is already saturated, hence, to allow additional units to operate therein would result in cut-throat competition among franchise grantees to the detriment of public service and prejudice to the riding public’s interest.

In view thereof, the Board hereby declares the NIA VILLAGE-MINDANAO AVE., PUJ ROUTE closed to new applications effective immediately.
