TO : ALL JUDGES AND CLERKS OF COURT OF THE REGIONAL TRIAL COURTS WITH DRUGS CASES

SUBJECT : FURNISHING THE PHILIPPINE DRUG ENFORCEMENT AGENCY WITH CERTIFIED TRUE COPY/IES OF THE INVENTORY OF ALL NON-DRUG EVIDENCE SEIZED, FORFEITED, CONFISCATED AND DEPOSITED OR IN CUSTODIA LEGIS IN DRUGS CASES

In his letter dated 4 July 2017, Director-General and Chairman Isidro S. Laperia, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and its National Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee (NALECC) and Sub-Committee on Dangerous Drugs and Controlled Chemicals (SCDDCC), requests that the agency be furnished with certified true copy/ies of the inventory of all non-drug evidence seized, forfeited, confiscated and deposited or in custodia legis for reference.

The copy/ies of the above-stated inventory will be needed by the PDEA to oversee and monitor all drug cases in the Philippines, from the filing of appropriate cases for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) up to the accounting of forfeited non-drug evidence of any kind, including but not limited to monies, firearms, vehicles and other assets or proceeds thereof, after the trial court releases their final disposition. This is line with the PDEA's continuing mandate to strengthen and ensure transparency in the enforcement of the anti-drug law nationwide.

In view thereof, you are hereby DIRECTED to FURNISH the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency thru the Office of the Director-General and Chairman of NALECC-SCDDCC, PDEA Building, NIA Northside Road, National Government Center, Quezon City, with the abovementioned certified true copy/ies of the inventory of all non-drug evidence seized, forfeited, confiscated and deposited or in custodia legis in drugs cases.
