Small Enterprise Development Week
CIRCULAR LETTER Series of 2001

As mandated under Presidential Proclamation No. 256 dated September 14, 1993, every third week of July of each year is declared as Small Enterprise Development Week.
All banks are enjoined to participate in the joint celebration by both the government and private sectors of this year's event which aims to recognize and to enhance awareness of the significant contributions of small and medium enterprises in the economic growth of the country. All banking institutions and their branches are therefore requested to undertake promotional activities such as putting up of counter displays, streamers, billboards or theme logos as well as other relevant publicity as may be appropriate for the occasion. This year's theme is: "Economic Growth through Small and Medium Enterprises".
All banking institutions through their respective Associations (BAP, CTB, RBAP) are requested to provide full support. The SMED Council Secretariat will be happy to assist you in this endeavor. For further details, please contact the SMED Council Secretariat at Tel. Nos. 890-4968 or 896-7916.
