REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5391 - AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CHEST CLINIC IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GENERAL SANTOS, PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the supervision of the Director of Health Services, a chest clinic in the Municipality of General Santos, Province of South Cotabato to be known as the South Cotabato Chest Clinic. This clinic shall attend to all forms of chest diseases especially pulmonary tuberculosis.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of Health shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the pur­poses of this Act.

SEC. 3. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said clinic during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-nine. Such sum as may be necessary for the same purpose in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
