SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR TWO (2) YEARS AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM BEING COMMISSIONED AS A NOTARY PUBLIC FOR TWO (2) YEARS OF ATTY. ANSELMO S. ECHANEZ

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the Court En Banc dated 11 April 2013 in Administrative Case No. 8384, entitled "Efigenia M. Tenoso v. Atty. Anselmo S. Echanez," to wit:

WHEREFORE, We find Atty. Anselmo S. Echavez guilty of engaging in notarial practice without a notarial commission, and accordingly, We SUSPEND him from the practice of law for two (2) years and DISQUALIFY him from being commissioned as a notary public for two (2) years. He is warned that a repetition of the same or similar act in the future shall merit a more severe sanction.

In the Resolution dated 30 July 2013, the Court DENIED WITH FINALITY the respondent's motion for reconsideration as no substantial argument were presented to warrant the reversal of the questioned Resolution.
