SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. RENATO C. BAGAY

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 05 April 2017 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 8103, entitled "Report of Atty. Aurelio C. Angeles, Jr., Provincial Legal Officer, Bataan Capitol, Balanga City, Bataan v. Atty. Renato C. Bagay," to wit:

Acting on respondent Atty. Renato C. Bagay's motion to lift order of disqualification from being commissioned as notary public dated 7 February 2017 pursuant to the Decision dated 3 December 2014 which suspended respondent from the practice of law for three (3) months and revoked his notarial commission and disqualified him from being commissioned as notary public for two (2) years, and considering that the Resolution dated 20 July 2015 already lifted respondent's suspension from the practice of law and required him to file sworn statement with certifications from the IBP Bataan Chapter and the Office of the Executive Judge of the courts of Balanga, Bataan, that he has not been commissioned as notary public from 16 January 2015 to 17 January 2017 after he has fully served the order of disqualification from being commissioned as notary public, and considering further respondent's submission of aforesaid certifications showing that he has fully served the two-year disqualification from being commissioned as notary public from 16 January 2015 to

January 2017, the Court resolves to LIFT the order of disqualification of respondent Atty. Renato C. Bagay from being commissioned as notary as mandated in the Decision dated 3 December 2014, and ALLOW him to file his petition for notarial commission before the commissioning court of jurisdiction.

The Court NOTES the Report and Recommendation dated 13 March 2017 of the Office of the Bar Confidant.
