AN ACT DECLARING JULY 8 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF ISABELA, PROVINCE OF BASILAN, IN CELEBRATION OF THE FEAST OF ST. ELIZABETH OF PORTUGAL, TO BE KNOWN AS FIESTA ALEGRIA DE ISABELA

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled: SECTION 1. July 8 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the City of Isabela, Province of Basilan, in celebration of the feast of St. Elizabeth of Portugal, to be known as Fiesta Alegria de Isabela. Upon proclamation of the President, July8 of every year shall be a special non-working holiday in the said city.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives on February 22, 2023, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on December 17, 2024, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on February 5, 2025.
