REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9378 - AN ACT DECLARING THE FOURTH DAY OF FEBRUARY OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF MUNTINLUPA TO BE KNOWN AS "ARAW NG KALAYAAN NG MUNTINLUPA"

AN ACT DECLARING THE FOURTH DAY OF FEBRUARY OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF MUNTINLUPA TO BE KNOWN AS "ARAW NG KALAYAAN NG MUNTINLUPA"

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. February 4 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the City of Muntinlupa to be known as "Araw ng Kalayaan ng Muntinlupa" in order to commemorate the heroes of World War II who fought for the independence of Muntinlupa.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on June 6, 2005 and December 18, 2006, respectively.
