Subject: Currency Exchange Facility (CEF) for Libyan Dinar for Overseas Filipino Workiers Evacuated from Libya
With regard to Item No. 2 of the Memorandum to All Banks No. M-2011-012 dated 3 March 2011 containing the guidelines for the implementation of subject CEF, banks offering such facility are reminded to continue to comply with the provisions of Republic Act 9160, otherwise known as the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001, as amended, particularly the requirements on customer identification and due diligence, record-keeping and reporting of covered transactions and suspicious transactions to the Anti-Money Laundering Council.
