REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9033 - AN ACT CONVERTING THE SUB-DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE LOCATED IN NAGUILIAN, LA UNION INTO A REGULAR ENGINEERING DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS THE LA UNION SECOND ENGINEERING DISTRICT AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Sub-District Engineering Office located in Naguilian, La Union, under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways, shall be converted into a regular engineering district to be known as the La Union Second Engineering District.

SEC. 2. The La Union Second Engineering District shall comprise the municipalities of Agoo, Aringay, Bagulin, Bauang, Burgos, Caba, Naguilian, Pugo, Rosario, Sto. Tomas and Tubao.

SEC. 3. The Department of Public Works and Highways shall promulgate rules and regulations necessary for the effective implementation of this Act.

SEC. 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and Senate on May 23, 2000 and December 11, 2000, respectively.
