COMPLIANCE OF THE PHILIPPINE RECRUITMENT AGENCIES WITH THE

PERTINENT MONITORING AND REPORTORIAL REQUIREMENTS

Following the unfortunate recent death of one of the deployed workers to Kuwait, this Department reiterates the need for the Philippine Recruitment Agencies (PRAs) to strictly observe and comply with the pertinent monitoring and reportorial requirements under the prevailing rules and regulations.

In this regard, PRAs are enjoined to closely monitor and report the status, condition, or significant events relating to their hired workers, especially when it involves issues such as, but not limited to, welfare matters, contract violation, accident missing and/or runaway, and death, injury, detention, sexual abuse, and maltreatment of the worker.

The PRAs are also reminded of the submission of the accurate and regular reports pertaining to their deployed workers, in accordance with the Rules.

Lastly, the PRAs are directed to promptly process the immediate repatriation of workers in urgent cases and extend the necessary assistance to ensure their health and safety
