Subject: Lebanese Currency Exchange Facility (CEF) for Overseas Filipino Workers Returning from Lebanon
With regard to Item No. 4 of Memorandum to All Banks No. 016 dated 25 August 2006 containing the guidelines in the implementation of subject CEF, Authorized Agent Banks (AABs) offering similar currency exchange facilities are reminded to continue to comply with the provisions of the Republic Act 9160, otherwise known as the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001 (AMLA), as amended, particularly with the requirements on customer identification and due diligence, record-keeping and reporting of covered transactions and suspicious transactions to the AMLC.
