REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9222 - AN ACT CONVERTING THE SUBDISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS, LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DIMASALANG, 3RD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF MASBATE INTO A REGULAR DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE TO BE KNOWN AS 2ND DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Subdistrict Engineering Office in the Municipality of Dimasalang, 3rd Congressional District, Province of Masbate is hereby converted into a regular district engineering office to be known as "2nd District Engineering Office, Department of Public Works and Highways."

SEC. 2. The municipalities comprising the 3 rd Congressional District, Province of Masbate, namely: Pio V. Corpus, Cataingan, Uson, Placer, Palanas, Cawayan, Dimasalang and Esperanza are constituted as areas under the 2nd District Engineering Office in the 3rd Congressional District, Province of Masbate.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall include in its program the funding requirements for the operationalization of the Masbate 2nd District Engineering Office in the year of following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
