REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8482 - AN ACT UPGRADING THE CAMIGUIN ISLAND HOSPITAL TO TERTIARY LEVEL II TO BE KNOWN AS THE CAMIGUIN GENERAL HOSPITAL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Camiguin Island Hospital which is located in Mambajao, Camiguin, is hereby upgraded to tertiary level II to be known as the Camiguin General Hospital which shall be under the direct administrative and technical supervision of the Department of Health.

SEC. 2. The Department of Health shall promulgate the rules and regulations necessary for the effective implementation of this Act.

SEC. 3. The amount necessary for the initial implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations for the Organizational Adjustment Fund. Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for its continued operation shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 4. All laws, decrees, orders, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed or amended accordingly.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
