OCT 19 2010 RESOLUTION Records show that the parties filed a "Joint Manifestation and Motion to Dismiss" on July 6, 2010 , praying for the dismissal of the instant case on the ground that they had settled the case amicably pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement dated September 22 , 2009 executed between the Makati City Government and the Philippine Association of Multinational Companies Regional Headquarters, of which petitioner is a member. Considering that the Supreme Court encourages litigants to mediate and compromise to avoid lengthy litigation which clogs the dockets of the Courts, the joint manifestation of the parties through their respective counsel that they have amicably settled the instant case is well taken . WHEREFORE, as prayed for, the motion is hereby GRANTED and the Petition for Review is hereby DISMISSED. The case is hereby considered CLOSED and TERMINATED. @)
