REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2732 - AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A HOSPITAL IN THE MUNCIPALITY OF TAGUDIN, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR, TO BE KNOWN AS THE SOUTHERN ILOCOS SUR HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A HOSPITAL IN THE MUNCIPALITY OF TAGUDIN, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR, TO BE KNOWN AS THE SOUTHERN ILOCOS SUR HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There shall be under the direct supervision of the Director of Medical Services, a twenty-five-bed general hospital in the Municipality of Tagudin, Province of llocos Sur, to be known as the Southern llocos Sur Hospital. The site for the said hospital shall be provided by the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Tagudin in consultation with the Director of Medical Services.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of Health shall promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry into effect the purpose of this Act.

SEC. 3. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the maintenance and operation of the said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-one: Provided, That no amount herein authorized to be appropriated will be released unless the Secretary of Health certifies that a suitable hospital building is available. Such sums as may be necessary for its maintenance and operation in subsequent years shall be deluded in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
