REVOCATION OF NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. LINA A. LAYSON

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the portion of the Resolution of the Third Division dated 10 November 2008 , in Administrative Case No. 6666 entitled, "Florendo M. Chua vs. Atty. Lina A. Layson", to wit:

"The Court resolves to ADOPT and APPROVE the Integrated Bar of the Philippines [IBP] Resolution dated 19 September 2007 revoking and disqualifying respondent from being commissioned 'as Notary Public for one (1) year. It appearing that neither a motion for reconsideration or a petition for review of the Resolution dated 19 September 2007 have been filed before the IBP and to this Court, respectively.

Accordingly, the Court further resolves to REVOKE respondent's notarial commission and DISQUALIFY her from being commissioned as Notary Public for one (1) year from receipt of this resolution."

Atty. Lina A. Layson received the Resolution on 23 December 2008 per Registry Return Receipt No. 64033.
