SUBJECT: SUSPENSION OF ATTY. JACKSON VISDA YABUT FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 6 June 2018 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 9471, entitled "Kenneth Louis Seif, Sr. v. Atty. Jackson Visda Yabut' to wit:

WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Court AFFIRMS the Resolution No. XXI-2015-634 dated June 30, 2015 of the Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, finding respondent Atty. Jackson Visda Yabut GUILTY of violating Canon 17 and Canon 18, Rule 18.03 of the Code of Professional Responsibility. He is hereby SUSPENDED from the practice of law for a period of one (1) year, effective upon receipt of this Resolution. He is likewise WARNED that a repetition of similar acts shall be dealt with more severely.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the Office of the Bar Confidant, Integrated Bar of the Philippines, the Public Information Office and the Office of the Court Administrator for circulation in all courts in the country for their information and guidance. Likewise, a Notice of Suspension shall be prominently posted in the Supreme Court website as a notice to the general public.

The respondent, upon receipt of this [Resolution shall forthwith be suspended from the practice of law and shall formally manifest to this Court that his suspension has started. He shall furnish all courts and quasi-judicial bodies where he has entered his appearance a copy of this manifestation.

As per manifestation dated 10 September 2018, respondent received a copy of the aforesaid Resolution on 8 September 2018.
