REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2274 - AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FRESH-WATER CLAM (CABIBI) PROPAGATION STATION AT CATAYAOAN, LAL-LO, CAGAYAN PROVINCE, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There shall be established and maintained under the supervision of the Director of Fisheries, a freshwater clam (cabibi) experimental and demonstration station at Sitio Catayaoan, Cagayan River, Municipality Lal-lo, Province of Cagayan.

SEC. 2. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry into effect the purpose of this Act during the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred sixty. Thereafter, the necessary amount for the purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Act.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon the date the funds authorized herein to be appropriated shall have been provided for.
