CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION MANILA

COMMITTEE REPORT NO, 49 Submitted by the Sponsorship Committee on October 8, 1934.

Gentlemen of the Convention:

The Sponsorship Committee has the honor to submit to the Convention the attached proposition on citizenship and naturalization with the recommendation that it be adopted.

The proposition herewith submitted has been prepared and assessed by the Sponsorship Committee, giving special consideration to the service rendered by the Committee on Citizenship and Naturalization.

SEC. 1. Filipino citizens are:

(a) those who are such on the approval of this Constitution and their descendants;

(b) foreigners who are naturalized in accordance with the law, and their descendants;
