REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS KAGAWARAN NG PANANALAPI KAWANIHAN NG RENTAS INTERNAS Quezon City October 20, 2005 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 58-2005 SUBJECT : Production of Books, Papers, Documents and Other Pertinent Data for Revenue Integrity Protection Service (RIPS) Purposes TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned ______________________________________________________________________ Section 3(e) of Executive Order (EO) No. 259 provides that the Revenue Integrity Protection Service (RIPS) shall have the power to require the production of books, papers, documents and other pertinent data, including income tax returns, among others. For the effective implementation of this provision, all internal revenue officials and employees are hereby directed to entertain only written requests signed by the Secretary of Finance or the Undersecretary in charge of RIPS, Undersecretary Emmanuel P. Bonoan. Any other request signed by persons representing themselves to be from RIPS must be reported to Undersecretary Bonoan, with a copy of the purported request.
