SUBJECT : COLLOQUIUM ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS FOR RTC JUDGES AT THE HYATT REGENCY, MANILA ON OCTOBER 24-25, 1994

The Department of Trade and Industry, thru the Bureau of Patents, Trademarks and Technology Transfer, jointly with the European Community thru the European Patent Office (EPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Inter-Agency Committee on Intellectual Property Rights (IAC - IPR), the Institute of Judicial Administration (IJA) and the Supreme Court (thru the Office of the Court Administrator), will hold a colloquium on intellectual property rights for the Regional Trial Court judges on October 24 to 25, 1994 at the Hyatt Regency, Manila.

This programme is envisioned to heighten awareness among the participate on the seriousness of the problems that beleaguer the country's industry in this area, and together explore possibilities of perhaps overcoming them.

The following judges are hereby authorized to attend the colloquium on OFFICIAL TIME/OFFICIAL BUSINESS chargeable to local funds if authorized and available:

The Cost of travel and lodging from October 23 to 25, 1994 of the provincial judges who will be accommodated in the same hotel, shall be borne by the European Patent Office (EPO) under the European Community (EC) - ASEAN Programme and the Inter-Agency Committee on Intellectual Property Rights (IAC - IPR).

A pre-paid accommodation in the Hyatt Regency on October 24, 1994 is similarly extended by the same agencies to the judges from the National Capital Judicial Region (NCJR).
