BSP CIRCULAR NO. 2 Series of 1993
SUBJECT : Amendment to Appendix I of CB Circular 1389, s. 1993 on List of Regulated Commodities Pursuant to Monetary Board Resolution No. 91 dated August 04, 1993, Appendix 1 of CB Circular 1389, s. 1993 is hereby amended so as to:
a. reflect the regulating agency for the importation of "Sodium Cyanide" (523.89-01) and "Chloroflourocarbon (CFCs)" (511.38-01) as the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) instead of the Bureau of Food and Drug, and
b. include the following ozone depleting substances in the list of regulated commodities requiring clearance/permit to import from the EMB:

The above amendments are in accordance with the provisions of RA 6969, An Act to Control Toxic Substances and Nuclear Wastes and in implementation of the Philippine Commitment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
This Circular shall take effect immediately.
