Importation of agricultural products that are produced locally in sufficient quantity

In Pursuance of the provisions of Section 23 (10) of Republic Act No. 7607 (Magna Carta of Small Farmers) prohibiting the importation of agricultural products that are produced locally in sufficient quantity, and with certification issued on February 26, 1993 by the Department of Agriculture that corn, poultry and poultry products, hogs and pork products and meat and meat products (except beef and beef products) are produced locally in sufficient quantities, the implementation of CB Circular 1356 dated September 25, 1992, with respect to the above-cited commodities, is hereby suspended.

Likewise, as mandated under Presidential Memorandum Order No. 95 dated February 27, 1993, the implementation of CB Circular 1096 dated March 24, 1986, with respect to feedgrains and feed substitutes (including wheat used for feed), is suspended.
