REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9068 - AN ACT DECLARING NOVEMBER 5 OF EVERY YEAR AS "REMEMBRANCE DAY IN ORMOC CITY," A REGULAR WORKING HOLIDAY IN ORMOC CITY, TO COMMEMORATE THE NOVEMBER 5,1991 TRAGEDY
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. November 5 of every year is hereby declared as "Remembrance Day in Ormoc City," a regular working holiday for the City of Ormoc, Province of Leyte.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least two (2) national newspapers of general circulation.

This Act which is a consolidation of House Bill No. 7271 and Senate Bill No. 1861 was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on December 19, 2001 and October 2, 2000, respectively.
