REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE BUREAU OF INTERNAL REVENUE Quezon City August 17, 2004 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 54-2004 TO : Assistant Commissioners, Regional Directors, RDC Heads, Revenue District Officers and other officers concerned SUBJECT : Celebration of the 15th National Statistics Month in October 2004 Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 647 declaring the month of October of every year as the National Statistics Month, the 15th National Statistics Month (NSM) will be celebrated in October, 2004. The theme for this year's celebration is "Rising Beyond Global Challenges Through Quality Philippine Statistics". The celebration is a nationwide event. All government agencies and their respective regions/field offices are requested to join the celebration through various activities such as symposia, workshops, orientation seminars, exhibits, slide shows and publication of statistical reports, indicators, and other relevant information with particular emphasis on the theme. Each Revenue Regional and District Office is requested to provide their own NSM streamer to be displayed at their building fa�ade throughout the month of October. BIR employees may coordinate with the participating agencies in their respective areas for their specific activity that they may want to get involved in.
