REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2657 - AN ACT TO CONVERT THE PALAPAG JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALAPAG, PROVINCE OF SAMAR, INTO A VOCATIONAL SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE SUMOROY MEMORIAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

AN ACT TO CONVERT THE PALAPAG JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALAPAG, PROVINCE OF SAMAR, INTO A VOCATIONAL SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE SUMOROY MEMORIAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Palapag Junior High School in the Municipality of Palapag, Province of Samar, is converted into a vocational school to be known as the Sumoroy Memorial Vocational School which shall be under the supervision of the Director of Public Schools.

SEC. 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of said school.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
