AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF SELECTED JUDGES AND PERSONNEL IN THE LUZON REGIONAL CONSULTATION ON THE FIRST DRAFT DESIGN REPORT OF THE ADB TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE JUDICIARY TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO)

In support of the APJR, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is providing Technical Assistance to the Supreme Court to strengthen the independence and accountability of the Judiciary. One of the outputs of this Technical Assistance is a design report that provides reform recommendations to support the reform goal of strengthening the independence, accountability and efficiency of the Judiciary. The Team of Consultants hired under this TA has recently proposed certain administrative and financial reforms that will now be subjected to consultations with, and review by, the various stakeholders of the judicial system. Feedback from these consultations will be considered in finalizing the reforms.

The following are hereby authorized to participate in the Luzon Regional Consultation on the First Design Report and Desk Review on October 22-23, 2002 at the Hotel Supreme, Magsaysay Avenue, Baguio City:
