SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. FELICITO J. CERVANTES FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution dated 17 October 2018 of the Third Division in Administrative Case No. 12024, entitled "Rail Zamora Carnecer, complainant vs. Atty. Felicito J. Cervantes, respondent," to wit:

WHEREFORE, Atty. Felicito J. Cervantes is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for one (1) year with a stern warning that any repetition of the same or similar acts shall be dealt with more severely. Furthermore, he is ordered to RETURN, the P7 5,000.00 acceptance fee to Rail Zamora Carnecer with six percent (6%) interest per annum from October 15, 2013 until full payment.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the Office of the Bar Confidant to be entered into the records of respondent Atty. Felicito J. Cervantes. Copies shall likewise be furnished the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and the Office of the Court Administrator for circulation to all courts concerned.
