TO: All Banks and Non-Banks Financial Institutions with Trust Function
Subject: Celebration of Trust Consciousness Week
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas supports the Trust Officers Association of the Philippines in cooperation with its educational arm, the Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines, in the celebration of "Trust Consciousness Week" from 19 to 23 March 2007.
The main objective of the annual celebration is to raise the level of public awareness and understanding of the concepts, basics and products of trust, other fiduciary and investment management services, as well as to highlight the important role of the trust industry in the capital market and the overall development of the Philippine economy.
All banks and non-bank financial institutions performing trust functions are enjoined to ensure the successful national observance of this week, with the theme "Responding to Investors' Needs through Trust".
